I'm Taima, the CEO of mign.

We are a startup working toward the cities and society of the future. Today, we develop and provide vertical agentic AI for enterprises in the real estate and construction sectors, focused on putting cutting-edge technologies—generative AI and AI agents chief among them—to practical use.

We have just closed a pre-Series A round of roughly ¥200 million, bringing our total funding to approximately ¥300 million.

Until now, our focus has been on validating the product. From here, we move into a phase of serious product refinement and expansion. We're looking for teammates who will take on hard challenges with us in earnest—and enjoy the ride.

The problem mign solves

The real estate and construction industry represents a ¥100 trillion market in Japan and ¥1,500 trillion globally, yet its labor productivity has not improved in more than 20 years, making it one of the least digitized industries of all.

Within it, the review work that must be carried out before any building or urban development project can proceed still consists of review company staff checking, by eye and by hand, whether hundreds to thousands of drawings comply with the law—working through several hundred or more review items one at a time. Before anything is even submitted for review, developers, general contractors, and design firms run the same process in advance themselves, adding their own in-house check items on top.

The remarkable recent advances in generative AI, LLMs, and AI agents, however, hold enormous potential to automate work that has long been analog and was previously impossible to automate—review work first and foremost. mign is among the earliest companies in the world to take on automating this kind of work.

Since launching the product, we have been working with evangelist customers—some of the largest review companies, developers, general contractors, and design firms in Japan and worldwide—to refine the product and expand the range of tasks it automates. In certain tasks the AI has reached accuracy above 90%, and it is steadily being adopted for real production work. With BIM-based review set to begin gradually in the near future, we are also working on automating review of such 3D models.

Going forward, we plan to expand step by step into areas such as more efficient design work, more efficient land acquisition, and global markets.

Company status

Closed a pre-Series A round of approximately ¥200 million in February 2026 (approximately ¥300 million cumulative). We are backed by leading Japanese VCs and many founders of listed companies, who support us in a variety of ways. With a stable financial foundation, we are investing aggressively, growing the organization, and updating and expanding the product.

We currently have fewer than 10 full-time employees plus several dozen contractors; our goal is to grow to a team of 30, all full-time employees, within the next 12 to 18 months.

In terms of business phase, we have completed "0→1" and are moving into the "1→10" and "10→100" growth phases.

With a customer base taking shape and the product evolving rapidly based on their feedback, this is arguably the most rewarding time to join for engineers, product managers, and BizDev.

• People who are fully committed (working in person full-time at our Shibuya office) and passionate about tackling extremely hard problems together—struggles and all—to achieve major innovation.

• People who don't wait for instructions, but find problems and act on their own.

• People with a strong curiosity about new technologies and knowledge.

• People passionate about engaging actively with those in our target industry, deeply understanding the problems on the ground, and solving them by drawing on expertise in cutting-edge technology.

• People who enjoy building structures and processes together—many of ours are still not in place.

Many of our members come from top universities in their countries—including the University of Tokyo and Hanoi University of Science and Technology—or hold PhDs. We are urgently hiring for the following positions.

CXO candidates (COO, CTO, CFO, etc.)

Either someone with no founding experience yet, or still learning (students welcome), who wants to found and run a company in a few years' time (someone able to commit as a CXO member until mign IPOs, with the passion to commit 24 hours a day, 365 days a year); or someone who has previously joined a startup in its founding phase and seen it through to an exit such as an IPO.

Backend Engineer (Django, React)

SaaS development using Django and related frameworks.

AI Engineer

Developing AI using technologies such as LLMs and AI agents, and integrating it with our SaaS.

Infrastructure Engineer

Building infrastructure, primarily on AWS, and handling security.

Product Manager

From gathering customer requirements through requirements definition to UI/UX design; the hub between engineering and business. Experience or knowledge in AI development or SaaS development.

BizDev / Business Development

From gathering customer requirements through requirements definition to UI/UX design; the hub between engineering and business. Experience launching businesses, or deep knowledge of the real estate and construction industry.

Sales / Customer Success

Selling the product and handling customer relations. Supporting onboarding for new customers. Feeding customer voices back into product development.

HR

Responsible for recruiting, organizational design, and labor management across the board. Handles all HR functions in line with the company's culture and future vision.

Management Accounting (or Accounting)

Management control including monthly closing, budget-vs-actual analysis, and KPI tracking; market research; finance operations, and more. Experience as a VC capitalist, in corporate planning, as an accountant, or at an audit firm.
